The Logistic Business Line operates under the brand names of SecurLog. It is based on the company owned
fleet of 123 Prime Movers and Semi-Trailers each and 37 Short-to-Medium haul Distribution vehicles - a total
of 283 units of transportation assets.
The traditional Logistics industry is highly fragmented; unstructured with slowly evolving corporatization;
small fleet sizes with niche-based operations.
The Company owned fleet is mostly deployed under long-term contracts with a diversified group of clients. As
and when required, the Company also undertakes project-specific assignments. The Long-haul segment operates in
three major regions given below. For these routes, the Company generates revenue through the round trips on
each route with its corresponding charges.
SLG’s domestic
logistics operation covers the following routes:
Northern Route:
Karachi to Peshawar, through Sukkur, Multan, Lahore, and Islamabad
Southern Route:
Karachi to Quetta, through Sadiqabad and Kashmore
SLG also plans to be
a ‘Regional Play’ by connection with 3-5 Central Asian markets including Afghanistan, Uzbekistan,
Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan. In addition, as the opportunity arises, SLG will also perusing logistics
assignments on the CPEC route to Western China (Kashgar).
In this regard SLG
has affiliations with major Chinese and other global logistics and freight companies for “project
specific” to transportation of goods and heavy equipment related to CPEC and other international
assignments
